Dr. Ashiqur Rahman Akanda

About Dr. Ashiqur Rahman Akanda Asso. Prof. Dr. Md. Ashiqur Rahman Akanda , born in 1979, obtained his MBBS degree from Shere Bangla Medical College, Barisal on 2003. He Passed DO (Diploma in Ophthalmology) from the University of Dhaka in 2006. He acquired FCPS (Eye) from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons in 2012. He has done his Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Squint from The University of Michigan, Kellogg Eye Center, Michigan, USA which is one of the top ranked eye center of USA. He also received short term fellowship training in the respective field in ARAVIND eye institute and research center, MADURAI, INDIA. He also has hands on training in advanced Phaco surgery from Susrut Eye Institute , INDIA. Currently he is working as Associate Professor of Pediatric Ophthalmology in National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital , Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is interested in research and publication. He has many publications in home and abroad.He attended many conferences, symposium and seminar around the globe included INDIA, SPAIN, USA, THAILAND etc. Asso. Prof. Dr. Md. Ashiqur Rahman Akanda is the current Joint Secretary General of Association of Pediatric Ophthalmologists & Strabismologist ,Bangladesh (APOSB).
