About Asst. Prof. Dr. SMA Alim Asst. Prof. Dr. SMA Alim is a renowned interventional pain medicine specialist in Dhaka with an MBBS, MD (DMC), EDPM (UK), GOPF (USA), FIPM (India), and multiple fellowships in interventional pain management and musculoskeletal ultrasound from Germany and India. He holds special training in managing acute and chronic pain, low back pain, laser PLID, acupuncture (China), and various pain syndromes. Dr. Alim specializes in treating conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatic pain, cancer pain, frozen shoulder, ankle and elbow pain, myofascial pain syndrome, neck pain, knee arthritis, and spine-related disorders. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Anaesthesia at Bangladesh Medical University (PG Hospital) and is the Ex Chief Consultant & Head of Anaesthesia at Central Police Hospital, Dhaka. Dr. Alim provides consultations at Proshanti Hospital Limited, located at 6, Proshanti Goli (opposite Police Line School), Malibagh, Dhaka, with visiting hours from 2.30pm to 9pm (closed on Friday).
